Yoga: Standing forward fold, big toe stretch

Instruction:
Place feet hip-width apart toes facing forward, lift the kneecaps up by contracting the quadricep muscles. Tilt the pelvis up towards the sky. Take the first two fingers and place them to the inside of the big toes. Inhale lift up and look up. Exhale slowly lower the head down towards the knees maintaining a straight spine. Press the big toes down into the floor as you lift up with the first two fingers, release the elbows to the side. Maintain a straight spine. Remain here for 10 deep breaths.
Side Note:
This pose stretches the hamstrings. Relieves tension in the lower back. Tones the liver, spleen and kidneys. Relieves physical, emotional and mental exhaustion.
