Yoga: Single leg quadricep opener

Instruction:
Begin in the kneeling position sitting on the heels. Place the hands behind the body, fingertips facing forward. Lift the right leg up and place the sole of the right foot beside the left knee. Inhale and tuck the tailbone under gently pressing the hips towards the sky. Press the palms firmly down into the floor and roll the shoulders back and down. Press the left knee and right foot firmly down and towards the floor as the hips lift towards the sky. Hold this pose for 5 to 10 deep breaths. Repeat on the other side.
Side Note:
Deeply stretches the quadriceps and hip flexors. Strengthens the wrists, arms, shoulders, lower back and hips. Helps to alleviate lower back pain. Relieves tension in knees. Improves posture.
