Yoga: Standing forward fold with blocks

Instruction:
Place the feet hip-width apart, spread the toes, lift the kneecaps to contract the quadricep muscles. Lift the tailbone towards the sky and with an exhale bend forward from the hips, releasing the hands onto the blocks. Maintain a straight spine. Lengthen the back of the neck by gently tucking the chin in. Evenly press down through all four corners of the feet while lifting the tailbone and hips up towards the sky. Take ten slow, deep breaths.
Side Note:
This pose stretches the hamstrings. Relieves tension in the lower back. Tones the liver, spleen and kidneys. Relieves physical, emotional and mental exhaustion.
