Yoga: Lunge knee up, arms up

Instruction:
Lunge the right foot forward and extend the left leg back. Make sure the right knee is over top of the right ankle. Tuck the tailbone under and gently push the left hip down and forward. Interlock the fingers and place them onto the right side. Lift the chest, look forward. Maintain a straight spine and relax the left knee down towards the floor. Inhale reach the arms towards the sky and place the palms together. Keep the shoulders down away from the ears and the arms straight. Look forward or look up. Gently arch the spine keeping the ribcage connected down towards the spine. Gently push down through the right foot and allow the left hip to open. Inhale reach the arms over the head, brings the palms together. Look forward or look up. Keep the shoulders down away from the ears and the arms straight. Press the palms together.
Side Note:
Increases the flexibility of the hip flexors, groin and quadricep muscles. Strengthens the thighs. Energizes the mind and nervous system. Relieves lower back pain. Lifts and tones the internal organs. Improves lung capacity by expanding the chest.
